Richard Tubb Interior Design, Dr. Pepper Building, 2829 2nd Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233
When Richard Tubb, at age fifteen, began working after school in his father’s furniture business, he had no idea he was laying the foundation for Richard Tubb Interiors. His designs create beautiful spaces that offer his clients comfort, inspiration, and self-expression. Richard serves clients from San Francisco to New York City, from Oklahoma to Pennsylvania and many with homes along the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast.
Homes decorated by Richard Tubb have been featured in Southern Living, Southern Accents, Metropolitan Home, Coastal Living, and other state and local magazines. His personal residences have been featured in many of the same publications, as well as in eight hardback books. Richard has appeared on Interiors by Design with Chris Madden and Homes Across America, both shows on HGTV. A graduate of Stamford University, Richard has been a Birmingham-based designer for 45 years.

David Lee Walker
For 24 years, David Lee Walker has transformed homes from the ho-hum to the breathtaking. His secret for client satisfaction begins with a belief in creating spaces that welcome, comfort, and nurture its occupants.
He also creates astonishment in clients at how a mundane space can be so utterly transformed. David takes a flexible approach to his design work. Beginning with understanding the client’s needs, he also takes them beyond their comfort zone with the unexpected and the unique. The end result is a unified flow, a sanctuary for homeowner, guest, and spirit alike. David’s work has been showcased in BMetro magazine, Hi, Birmingham, and Birmingham Home and Garden.
"When we visited the factory, we observed first hand the care that goes into crafting each piece. This attention to detail makes it comfortable, beautiful, and sets it far above assembly line furniture makers." -David Lee Walker
Richard and David are inspired most by nature and texture. The simple beauty of a hornet’s nest, the detail of a bird’s nest inspires us. They choose fabrics based on texture, natural beauty, and never-tiring longevity. Richard and David want their rooms to be timeless, comfortable and have a graceful flow.
Partnership with Stanford
Richard and David seek fabrics that are elegant, durable and affordable. “Stanford listened to our need for more simple, organic textures, and they expanded their line to include many more of these fabrics at an accessible price point,” says Richard. David adds, “We also love the quality of Stanford upholstery. When we visited the factory, we observed first hand the care that goes into crafting each piece. This attention to detail makes it comfortable, beautiful, and sets it far above assembly line furniture makers.”
